Build the listening skills required for STANAG 6001 Level 1 through structured audio practice, short spoken exchanges and progressively graded comprehension activities.
Work through the series
Start with Activity 1 and move through the listening series in order. Each activity gives you another opportunity to identify main ideas, specific information and familiar spoken language at Level 1.
Listening Training 1
Begin with short conversations and simple spoken exchanges. Practise identifying key details in informal English calibrated to STANAG 6001 Level 1.
Listening Training 2
Everyday listening tasks covering common topics and situations. Build recognition of main ideas and specific facts in Level 1 spoken English.
Listening Training 3
Informal conversations and short announcements across familiar situations. Continue building confidence with graded Level 1 listening practice.
Listening Training 4
Short audio inputs with comprehension tasks. Develop your ability to follow informal English and identify important information.
Listening Training 5
Mixed listening inputs with a focus on natural spoken English. Continue developing recognition of familiar vocabulary and everyday information.
Listening Training 6
A variety of informal listening scenarios to consolidate Level 1 comprehension. Practise understanding everyday spoken English.
Listening Training 7
Short audio sequences at a natural pace. Build confidence following informal spoken exchanges in preparation for Level 1.
Listening Training 8
Practise identifying speakers, topics and important facts from short recordings designed for STANAG 6001 Level 1 learners.
Listening Training 9
Develop listening stamina and accuracy with another full Level 1 practice set using familiar situations and spoken language.
Listening Training 10
Complete the current Level 1 Listening Lab series with a broad practice session covering the core comprehension skills developed through the previous activities.
Activities 11 to 15
Additional Level 1 listening practice is being added to the lab. Complete the current ten activities while the next training sets are prepared.
